Session 2: Activity 3

This activity introduces other concept: the fractions on the number line. A part of this concept we also work another time the equivalent fractions. This time we found them represented in the number line: two equivalent fractions are represented on the same point.
There are too parts:

1- They just have some fractions that they must put on the number line they have. This activity should be individually. 
2- With an interactive application: 
In this application you can find some number lines. There is a point marked and some fractions. Then, students should decide which of the fractions given the one that is represented in the point raising his arm.

RESULTS

-First part: Students found difficult to represent in the numeric number line the equivalent fractions. They had to be helped with graphics like pizzas or we had done the simile between the numeric number line and the parts of a path.
They also used to make the equivalent fractions to make easier the representation of them.

-Second part: We could not do this part due to lack of time.
