Session 1: Activity 1

The learning unit starts with a presentation of an activity that introduces the term of fraction. There are different graphics extracted from the application Test de fracciones. There is a graphic and three different fractions projected on the digital board. Students should choose which of these fractions is the fraction represented on the graphic.

In the application you found graphics and fractions like the one that you can see on the picture. When we presented the teaching unit we used this one as an example and we put seven more graphics that we thought students should know. 


RESULTS

Students hadn’t presented a lot of difficulties on this activity. The most difficult part of this activity for the students was that in some graphics students had to choose a fraction that was equivalent.
The term of the equivalent fractions is better worked in the vicinity activities as for example the second one.
